There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of everyone in the world. There are real fears and concerns that all of us are wrestling with it. On top of the health concerns surrounding the pandemic, there are also financial concerns.
With the economy at a low point, there are many families who are struggling to figure out where the next meal is going to come from and many of these families live in the very community that we are a part of. Enter the Church: to give to those who are in need and to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In light of this, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Metro-Atlanta Food Initiative (MAFI):
MAFI is an organization that seeks to help low-income families in the Metro-Atlanta area by creating care packages consisting of a combination of fresh and canned foods, alongside additional necessary supplies such as personal protective equipment.
In this partnership, it is our goal as REACTS Ministry to raise funds towards this cause and provide manpower so that the care packages can be assembled and delivered to families in need.
From now until December, we will be collecting donations and recruiting volunteers for this cause. A small sacrifice on our part can do much good for those who are in need!
So please consider donating however much you are able to, and please consider giving your time to help those who are in need, knowing that what we sow on Earth we will reap in Heaven.
We need around 20 volunteers to help assemble and deliver care packages. If you’d like to volunteer, sign up here and we’ll be in touch.
